Futer breeding for orchid mantis

So I have been told that males  die a lot sooner than females and if you plan on breeding you need to get a female first and then get the male once the female is a bit older but my question is what age exactly should the female be when I get the male so they reach l8 at the same time?

I got some L2 males when my females were around L4. and that seemed to work out pretty good. I know this is old, but I was just looking through here for some info, and realized no one ever even responded to this!
