Ghost Can't Connect

My ghost male is really big. He's bigger than my females. He is excited to try to breed, but he can't connect properly. He keeps trying to find the spot and prods around with his little mantis willy for hours to no avail. He even gets within militates of the right spot, but he never seems to hit it.

Is this make a genetic dead end, or shoukd I keep introducing him? Any tips to make this mating successful?

Nevermind, after after 4 hours he finally connected. Yay!
