Ghost mantid color question

At what instar do you start seeing color changes in a ghost mantis?

I know they are black when born and look like ants but when do they start to change color and do they take on different colors at each instar?

I have 6 ghost mantids and they have all reached L2 and are still black (one molted 2 days ago to L3, 2 more just a few minutes ago) the first one to molt to L3 is still a black tea color not sure about the other two because they haven't dried yet. Anyone care to share there experience with mantis colors?

The males usually stay at a fairly constant black/brown color, and the females will turn black/brown/tan/green at around L4-L5.
