Ghost Mantis Breeding.

Since ghosts are communal or not cannibalistic will the female still try to eat the male during or after they mate. Ive never mated and i need to learn everything b4 trying with them. I ordered some from rebecca and they are l2 l3 i believe so i still have alot of time. Also does anyone have pics of them mating. Do i need to feed the female during the mating? And if you have there cage also that would be great

ghosts can live together with out them eating each other as long as theres lots of food.

^Don't risk it. Breeding is fairly straightforward, just put the female into the male's enclosure or the other way around. If that doesn't work you can try increasing heat/humidity.

sorry i forgot to say that..i have a pair of ghost..i house them in separate pots..i also have a pair of idols..there housed in separate cages..no point hosing 2 together..to much of a risk..wait till u get an ooth then u can do that.safer this way.

Ghost communality is limited. Adult females can and probably WILL eat males if left together.

Actually, a male can attack and devour a female - so better give them a lot of food.
