So I'd never raised the species but bought 3 p.paradoxa from Rebecca a while ago.

They were great and I ended up with 2 females oner male, but one female was really delayed and didnt get mated before he got eaten. Well the one that was mated has laid 4 ooths so far and one just hatched last week.

Only 5 hatched, and 2 didnt even survive the hatch. The other 3 died off 4 days later for no apparent reason.

Id just gotten a batch of fruit flies brought in 70 miles, but they died the same night.

Is this a species know to be hard to hatch successfully? What do I need to do different?

I have 3 more ooths so I want to make sure Im ready for the next hatch!!

And yes I have been gone a LONG time, but am back online again and from my own place, kinda lol.

I'm thinking they probably needed more humidity. I've only hatched one ghost ooth, so I'd also wait for others to chime in. But mine hatched out completely and was incubated with a 'humidity foam' insert on the base of the container. I also have had to keep them fairly well humidified for molting, and I've got 8 L6s and sold 11 or 12 L3s previously. Though I did have a few mis-molts earlier which died when I didn't spray/humidify as much.
