I received a ghost ooth that is wrapped in paper towel. It is not attached to a twig/stick. Can someone please advise on the best way to attach it to the top of an enclosure?  I have read a needle but am terrified I will hurt it.  :(   Also, I will need to position it horizontally as this was how the female would have laid it???

I read through many of the threads but could not find answers. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.  :)

You can grab it (very gently) with your fingers, ooths are very resilient. However, do not use the needle, you are right, you might hurt it.

If the ootheca is hot-glued to the paper towel, you can attach the towel to the lid of a mantis hatching habitat. If it’s not, you can hot-glue it yourself. Be careful with the hot-glue, though, try to use as little as possible, and glue as soon as it is warm, not too hot. As far as positioning is, yes, horizontal is generally a better position.

Use a low temp hot glue gun..it is specifically made for delicate or heat sensitive projects. You can buy one for $2.50 at Walmart. You should still wait and let it cool a bit before touching the ooth to the glue.
