I keep four of my subadult ghosts communally, and the other day, I was looking into their cage, and I noticed one of my females with a bubble of black around her mouth. from the stains on the cage, I could tell that she had been throwing up before I saw her. i took her out, put her in a separate cage, and gave her lots of honey and water. I had not fed her that day, so it was not a case of being overfed. To look at her, she is perfectly healthy. Her antennae are twitching normally, and She reacts when I come close, she pushes away the honey, but still eats, and she is just like she always was. I kept her in quarantine for two days, and for one night, she kept throwing up, and then she stopped, so I put her back in the big cage with her siblings and gave her a moth to eat. Any clue what happened there? Should I be worried or not?

She might’ve gotten a bad feeder, that’s usually what causes them to throw up. Have you ever used crickets to feed her? Or if it was only her that threw up, she might’ve gotten a particularly unhealthy individual. What do you feed your ghosts?

As for her current state, I’d suggest keeping her in quarantine a little longer, just to be safe. Also, if you still have the habitat she threw up in, does the vomit smell?

What I think that she ate a bad insect. If she doesn't throw up after eating the moth she is better.

It was not a bad feeder insect, as I had not fed her for a few days. I have had her since L2 and she is now subadult, and she has never been sick before. The vomit did not smell, and she is acting normally.
