Ghost will only eat crickets...

One of my Ghosts I just got refused to eat anything for 3 days and would only hang at the very bottom of the cage to where his head was actually touching the ground, so the flies wouldn't go anywhere near him. I tried offering him Blue Bottle, house flies, and Hydei(even though he's too big for those), and he wouldn't eat any of them. :/ His poor tummy was as thin as a piece of paper, so I finally broke down and offered him some crickets since I knew they'd go down at the bottom where he was hanging. Thankfully, he went straight for them! Yea!

I've read that crickets aren't good as a permanent food source. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've never had any problems feeding ghosts mainly crickets.

Phew!

Everything I read said that Ghosts NEED to be fed flying insects and that crickets are bad as a main diet, so I was worried about it. Glad to hear that there's no need to be stressed!

My ghosts love crickets. I feed the crickets for a while before I give them to my mantids .
