1 thing i must say..i have been very worried..all tho she was very very fat before the shead she didnt eat any thing for 3 days before the shead..then it took 2 days after the shead untill she has some food.i gave her tiny bit of watered down honey,,im not sure if that kicked started her but a few hous later she had a crickt so i have stoped worrying now.what a good loooking girl she is..a right stunner.

Nice shots there.

One thing though....if a mantis does not want to eat then it is for a reason - it doesn't want to ! After the final moult it can take days for a mantis to eat again, do not force feed it.

Patience is a virtue.

Nice pics. It is best not to hold the mantis for a few days after the molt.

Quick question about the honey thing...how well does honey keep? I keep reading about people gutloading their crix and flies with honey, but I've had a bottle of some honey in my cabinet for maybe a decade now. Still think it has the goods or should I get a fresh bottle? Yes, I'm that cheap to worry about it, but if I need to I wouldn't hesitate.

Feed flies honey, not crickets. Honey generally does not go bad but after that long I would replace it. Honey is cheap.
