Hello, I got her back in September (she had just molted in her enclosure at the store which is why I picked her!) She hasn’t molted since then. Is that a normal amount of time? She’s only my second giant Asian, because my first died of unknown causes. My cat eye has molted at least four times since I got my second asian, but I’m hoping it’s just because different mantids molt at different rates?

well, to sum it up, she hasn’t molted in about 5 months. Is that normal? Or should I be concerned? I can insert an image if needed.

I had one Hierodula venosa what took almost 3 months to go from subadult to adult. She looks healthy. Maybe she's just a slow grower.

So her wing buds are very swollen today. That’s a good sign, yes? Should I still give her her dinner or should I wait until she molts?

Just sharing she finally molted!!! She has a nice thick abdomen and beautiful wings. What a late bloomer she is.
