I like the sound of weird and ethereal anachronistic instruments and songs. For that reason my favorite music is Dead Can Dance, Tallis Scholars and anything featuring my all time favorite instrument, Viola Da Gamba.

I also like Theremin and Waterphone - but my most recent discovery is called Glass Armonica! This ghostly and ethereal instrument was invented by Benjamin Franklin, played by Marie Antoinette, and music was even composed for it by Bach and Mozart!

Eventually, the instrument was outlawed because it was believed to drive people insane!

Oh, interesting! My uncle was just telling us about this instrument at Thanksgiving dinner after I was doing the wet-finger-along-the-rim-of-the-wine-glass trick for the kids.
