Recently I got myself a hot glue gun and the rods I got didnt say toxic or non-toxic, but does it matter for mantids? I want to be sure before I use them.

Someone on here told me to get the lo temp hot glue gun with hhhhmm? I think multi temp glue sticks?

Apparently they are not as sticky when dry?

Or something?

Don't remember exactly but that's what I got super cheap at Walmart.

Anthrax model, hehehe.

I dont know if all glue sticks are created equally, but I have never had an issue and tried a few different brands. It does smell bad to me and I worried that it would hurt the bugs. Not any more. ;)

I have never had the glue dry tacky, and I use both high and low temp glue guns. High temp for heavy duty roach containment, and low temp for mantis, and other containers that may need to have screen or plants changed around a bit.

I was told by a poison control person that Ortho Home Defense, pesticide is non toxic. My kid once got into some.

I think that "non toxic" only applies to humans and maybe mammalian pets.
