I don't know if this is allowed, but my teacher has told the class that the project is now due in December. Along with the fact that I have to try to get the system up and running and try to obtain funding for the project (I do have my rubric along with the MYP project guidelines as proof that I do have this project). That is truly amazing a $610 project could be assigned in your school.

In any local public schools in the counties around me the teachers have a set budget of something like $25 at most that they can assign such projects to students, and that tends to be once a year - any additional costs must be paid by a project budget or the teachers own pocket.

So obviously this must be a special private program/school.  Even so I imagine most kids (and parents) can not afford such a assignment with a $610 cost (as listed on your page - $100 IBC tote, $150 Solar panel kit, $60 Water pump, $200 Pipes and building materials, $100 fish and plants). Then with a one month timeline that sounds nearly impossible, especially for a student to do.

I would recommend that your parents check into the assignment and costs, as that is ridiculous.

Well I did manage to update the page so yeah. I have 200 on hand for the ibc tote so that may be covered. Now with the explanation, the product is a fully functional system that can produce both fish and plants and be almost closed loop sutstainibility. I did make myself a kind of schematic for it.  Also this is  so that I can grow food plants and catfish. Now my parents told me that it is fine as long as I am able to get it done. Also there is no need obviously to donate the whole 700 dollars. Just like 10 or 20 would do.

so basically this is a personal project for personal gain. that is using the selling point as a school project? you can do a project for something cheaper im sure.

I am actually lowering the amount since I was able to obtain some supplies. So yeah sorry if I initially made it high. I was kind of overestimating. And I am asking companies if they would like to donate supplies in exchange for the logo of the company to be placed in front of the tank.

I actually realized that the system itself can be built at a later date. Sorry if I bothered you guys, kind of got in a panic.
