1. how can you tell violins are adults and done molting,is it just the wing size? I have 5 gongies and they are all different sizes,my guess is L5-L6? 1 male and 1 female are very large 3-4 inch's, but only have wing buds(sun flower seed size)I have the sex's separated to slow down the male's abit.

2. How warm should I keep the ooths 80-90?If I get that lucky. about how long will they take to hatch,I know this will not be exact just a estimate.

Any info would be greatly appreciated! :)

males are adult after they molt 5 times and females after 6 times. ooth's hatch around 4 to 6 weeks at 86 to 95F ( 30 to 35C ) with a morning spritz of water everyday.

When they have wings they're adult. Can't explain it any simpler than that. Don't confuse wing buds with wings though I am not sure how you could confuse the two. Gongy like it hot. I mist mine once a day lightly. Care for the ooths the same as the mantids.

Thanks for all you speedy replies. they all have buds, do the fairly large(3x bigger on 2 mantids 3 others are much smaller) wing buds mean next molt is adult.and yes Rick I do know the difference between buds and full wings I'm not that green ^_^ . I did not get them as babies to know all there molts.
