Good morning from South Africa. I hope all of you are safe during this Covid-19 pandemic. We seem to be coping OK, though I fear the avalanche is yet to come.
Anyway, about me: I am a Pyro-Metallurgist by training, active these days in Clean Electricity production - mostly by harvesting waste thermal sources. We live in an Eco Park close to Johannesburg with animals roaming free (NOT the big 5 though!). This is intentional as I was born and grew up in the "bushveld" of South Africa and love nature and all its critters.
Due to our location, I regularly come across very interesting species in our back yard, including several species of Mantids - all of them wild - but some of them sticking around for a while.
I have a particular interest in Cilnia Humoralis as I had the privilege to observe one girl for over 8 months in a citrus tree in the back yard and grew very fond of her.
