Grass Mantis

I just had a single grass mantis nymph hatch out. Question? Is melanogaster fruit flies okay to feed? They seem so big next to the tiny grass mantis nymph. Do I need something smaller to feed?

You're not going to find much smaller than a melanogaster. You'd be surprised what new babies can take down though! Springtails are tiny too if you'd rather try those.

Mine eat the mels, and they survive, so I say is ok!

Thanks for the reassurance. Just seem so tiny. I have feeling I'll have more hatched nymphs when I get home tonight.
