I caught a grasshopper male about an inch long. He is brown, and the bottom of his abdomen is green. There is also a "U" shape white mark on the bottom of his thorax. He has long brown wings and can fly. He sounded like a cicada when chirping. His antennae are as long as his body and there is a black line on top of the thorax, starting at the head, and going down the center of the whole thorax. Also there is a very thin white stripe going down the side of the abdomen on each side. He was found in tall grass. Also on the outer side of the thick part of the back legs, there is a distinctive black and white marking. The legs are reddish. What type of grasshopper is he?
