ok I got a dilemma here and well my shield longas have been adults for 3 or 4 weeks now and I have been trying to mate my male and female in a 10 gallon tank. But for some reason the female gets maybe a little paranoid and always somehow spots the male and goes into a full threat display.Even the display kind of freaks me out and I can manage to get the male out of the tank before she does anything. She keeps the display going for a little longer and since no breeding guide has anything to say on when the female goes into a full threat pose. Maybe a few times the male would follow suit but would they still be too immature and wondering if keeping the temp at a steady 80 degrees would damper anything?
