Grizzled mantids are possibly the most exotic-looking native American species. These are all Florida wild-caught specimens and no two ever seem to look the same. From tree-branch brown, to bone-white, to camo-army green, to lichen-mimic green, the potential coloration pattern of this species is remarkable. $30 each plus all shipping costs.

If interested, please call (615) 545-5532 or email [email protected].

Thank you,

.

Are you planning on breeding these?

What instar are you finding them at this time of year?

I was going to go collecting this year but figured towards the end of the year they would be larger and easier to spot.

I have found them at 2nd and 3rd so far, and have already sold 3 of the 5 I have at this time. I am going to keep one or two stellar individuals and have a try at breeding them, yes.

I haven't really gone looking for them specifically, I have really been looking for fishing spiders, wolf spiders, huntsman spiders, and bark scorpions ... but happen to find these lil fellers every so often :)

I've been wanting one of these for ages, but sadly barely anyone has them and I live up in Jersey. (Nothing but Chinese, europeans, and Narrow-Wing up here)

Are you still looking for these guys? becuase I'd buy one.

I found another one last night if you're interested; a little smaller than the others (one molt behind), but striking with camo-green lichen coloration :)

You are so lucky I feel like exploding when I see the mantids...    Beautiful mantids..HOW DID YOU FIND SO MANY???

I really just find them when I am looking for spiders. Both mantids and fishing/huntsman spiders like tree trunks out here in Florida ...

And I just took a cool new photo of one of my latest beauties that I made into a new avatar B)
