Yes, we have these guys hatching out now and they are HUGE!

They will not be made available for sale until they are L2, but I wanted everyone to know that they will be ready soon. I will not be taking reserves or deposits on them, so please just keep an eye on the Mantis Pets: Mantids for Sale page! I have no idea how quickly they will go.

I will not know if they can be sexed at L2 until I try. I will probably be offering them in small groups to ensure a good sex ratio for those wanting to breed them in the future.

Thanks! (I will try to get pics of the mommas on here soon!)

Finally got these pictures done the right way, I hope!

First pic shows the pink/gold color variant, which is very pretty! (Though, the green is pretty awesome, too!) Middle pic is trying to show the size of one of the girls...and the last pic will show the biggest girl on the scale, weighing in at 10 grams (average weight, as this was just before I fed her)...the other two mommas were 8 & 9 grams each. They laid ooths again a few days ago, so their weight will be higher here soon. I think they top out somewhere around 18 grams...maybe more if you have fewer mouths to feed & can spoil them more than I do! ;)

I have set a price on the website. They are $18/each right now. Please remember that I am no longer guaranteeing live arrival on packages shipped Priority. In order to get a live arrival guarantee, they need to be shipped Express, which starts at $25. Priority is $6, if you want to take the chance.

Thanks!
