Anyone ever use the harder plastic tubs from stores that sell potato salad or such to hatch their ooths with any success as I am going to try using one tub and poked six holes in the lid and glued some mesh screen on the lid underside and plan to glue the ooths to the mesh and this is the kind of tub I am talking about!

in my opinion the actual tub used for incubating ooths is irrelevant once it has ventilation and substrate for humidity , ive hatched ooths in deli cups , in faunariums , in plastic pint tumblers , and even left ooths in vivs to hatch

I agree that as long as the oothecae's needs are met, you could probably use just about anything.

It will work but then you will need to transfer the nymphs. I prefer to have them hatch in their new home so I can avoid moving them.
