I was looking at my Big Book O' Bugs (https://secure01.virginiainteractive.org/shoppingcart/DCRimages/insectsandspiders.jpg)
and I came across the Dragon/damselflies section. There are some beautiful species! I know of a few that are abundant near the lake where my grandparents have an RV, you could swing a butterfly net and catch about 6 mating pairs at any given time. The most common are the Blue-Fronted Darners.
I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried to raise and/or breed them?
Some of the species are absolutely gorgeous.
I've never heard of anyone keeping them, but then again, just a few months ago I'd never heard of anyone keeping a praying mantis!
Does anyone have any information?
Phil, I'm expecting an essay on people who've kept them or the reason why people don't, something along the lines of the Great Damselfly Disaster of '55.
