I'm Ben, 18, just graduated last week! I've come to realize I'll be very very bored for a year or 2 lol so I've decided on getting a mantis! I still haven't decided on which kind of Mantis to get, but I've really taken a liking to S Lineola and the Wide Armed Mantis. I'm hoping to get a Ghost pretty soon though. Bought a Nano Tall Exo Terra tank a while ago and Im planning on putting a live plant inside with a little DIY rain simulator or waterfall x) Tips on a place to get a Lineola nymph or a Wide Armed nymph would be awesome!

Welcome mate, I don't know how good of an idea the waterfall is mantids can drown kind of easy. Best of luck with your hunt though, if you want to see a bunch of different mantids go to my website on the "exotic" page there is at least 50+ pictures of different mantis species.

I don't have any for sale though... as I am in Australia.

Welcome. You can't go wrong with the three you mentioned. I'd go with the lineola or wide arm though.

Welcome to this forum! I guess Cilnia humeralis are not common. Sphodromantis lineola and Ghost Mantids are common!

Welcome! Do you ever find the little ground mantids in your area?

Looks like i'll be getting a Lineola nymph sometime next week!

Never really put much thought to that waterfall drowning my mantis, definitely not doing that then.

Thanks everyone!!

And no I never see any mantids locally. I live in north-western phoenix with no mantids here to be seen. Wish I lived closer to nature though. Probably way too hot outside for mantises too, its around 109 here everyday.
