Just started getting into raising praying mantises. Was wondering which kind is the best to start with?

Welcome! Some good ones to start that's are big are the Giant Asian(Hierodula Membranacea) or the Giant African(Sphodromantis Lineola). If your looking for something smaller a Indian flower mantis(Creobroter gemmatus).

Welcome, Connor's suggestions are all good, and I would also add the typical recommendation for an exotic beginner species to the list - the ghost mantis (Phyllocrania paradoxa).
