Hello all,
My name is Mike and I'm from Illinois. I'm in the environmental field and have been fascinated with nature my entire life. I have done some work on a local museum's insect collection which really piqued my interest in all insects, but mantids have always been my favorite. I'm happy to have found a place where everyone is so passionate about them! I've been keeping mantids ever since I stumbled across a Chinese mantis flying around the parking lot of a grocery store I worked at. I took him home and was instantly captivated by his personality. Currently I have around 5-10 species and have taken an interest in breeding over the past year or so. Here are pictures of some of the more charismatic mantids that I've had!
