Thought i would introduce myself since i was encouraged to do so. Name is Ernie and im from northeast ohio. ( originally maryland ) I have always loved and been facinated with praying mantis since i was young. But i never actually kept one as i didnt realize you could. I was also under the impression that they were protected by laws as well.
Recently i saw a "kit" in a novelty magazine for raising a mantis. It was like the butterfly garden ones where you get the cage and send away for the eggs/larvae. This prompted me to research the internet and see about purchasing/keeping them. Thats how i found this forum.
So now im trying to soak up all th einfo i can in preparation of actually owning a mantis
