Hello,
I have been a big fan of mantises for many years and at a local reptile show I recently purchased 3 young Indian Flower Mantises. I have no idea exactly what instar they are but 2 of them have already molted and one seems to have gotten a half inch bigger! They all started at about an inch long when stretched out.
I am really enjoying watching them and they are currently eating lots of hydai ffs and small crickets. The biggest one eats the fruit flies like popcorn.
Other than now mantids I have experience raising feeder insects (just the standards, crickets, fruit flies, mealworms, and am starting on black soldier flies.)
I also keep frogs, fish, and chameleons regularly right now just fancy goldfish and chorus frogs, but have lots of experience with many animals.
I am excited to expand experience with mantids and more inverts in general.
I have already learned quite a bit reading here and look forward to reading more.
Sorry I have no pictures, I tried but only got out of focus blurs.
