I have had a few mantids in the past, but always very easy species. Im ordering a orchid mantis from mantisplace (havent placed my order yet, but will soon), and am very excited to get things started. If anyone has any suggestions, tips, or pointers about ANYTHING it would be greatly appreciated, i havent had a mantis for over 4 years now.

thanks i now have 2 orchids, 2 idolos, 10 popa spurca, 6 gambians, 10 sphodromantis lineola, 15 blue flash, 5 indian flowers, and two asian marbled mantids on the way

Does anyone know how many molts each of the above have?

the only thing i could really find all of the molts for is the idolo

I can't tell you the exact number of molts for each of those species because I've never had those. But I can tell you that most mantids molt six or seven times to reach adulthood. Females sometimes have more molts than males.
