Hi, my name's Alex.

I have had a few mantids in the past, but always very easy species. Im ordering a orchid mantis from mantisplace (havent placed my order yet, but will soon), and am very excited to get things started. If anyone has any suggestions, tips, or pointers about ANYTHING it would be greatly appreciated, i havent had a mantis for over 4 years now.

Welcome. Do a search here on orchid mantis and you should find all the info you could ever want.

Welcome and good luck when you get your little orchid! There is a ton of information in these forums.

Use the search feature to locate threads for care on specific species. Lots of good information right at your fingertips.

I can't tell you the exact number of molts for each of those species because I've never had those. But I can tell you that most mantids molt six or seven times to reach adulthood. Females sometimes have more molts than males.
