Hello, the name's Stephen. I'm 20 years old and I've been raising Chinese Mantids for about 3 three years. I haven't mastered the art yet because school has interrupted the mating part each time but I am eager to keep on learning. I'm very interested on exploiting the different colors that the chinese mantis can give. I know the typical colors are brown and green but I believe there can be crazy combinations. I currently have a female who's a yellow tan and has a green lining. I have no idea how that happened because she was a complete green right before she molted. I have also seen males who were a bright green with almost a fire red patch on the thorax so I know there can be combinations, I just want to be able to raise them. I have learned a great deal already reading some posts and excited to learn more and share information with everyone.
