You could say I am very new to keeping mantids. Not so much phasmids, but mantids, yes. I really only have one question: Where would you suggest I get my first mantids?

Welcome. I suggest looking at the classifieds here, plenty of mantids for sale.

I mainly use 32oz cups for most nymphs. Some smaller species do better in smaller cups.

I don't know if WalMart does it, but every grocery store I've asked has sold them to me for $.02-.10.
