Nick here, just wanted to introduce myself. I have kept mantids most of my life when I lived in Delaware - miss my Chinese mantids!

Now live in Ft Lauderdale, FL & can't find a Grizzled mantis to save my life! Lol

Just lost my D. Lobata due to age so looking for another mantis to grace my home! :)

Welcome. I thought Grizzled Mantids were not too rare. You may find S. floridensis, Thesprotia graminis and some other mantids. And Panchlora nivea, Blaberus, Pycnoscelus surinamensis, and many other roaches might be common where you are. Was your D. lobata a female or male? The species name is not supposed to be capitalized I think, but the genus is supposed to be capitalized.
