Help. Black, dried stuff on abdomen.

Can anyone tell me what this stuff is? I found it this morning attached to my mantid's abdomen. Looks like it came out of her abdomen, but dried. Did she fall? I also found a weird brown thing on one of the leaves. It's crusty on the outside, but gooey inside.

Your mantis looks dangerously overfed. That black might have leaked out of her or its vomit. Don't feed her any more for a week or so. Anymore food could kill her! Leave her in peace and watch her.

I've used aloe to pull that black stuff off of injured legs. The aloe liquefied it and it came off. I've never seen it on the abdomen like that though.
