 Could someone please help me? My father found a dead praying

mantis with and incredably large abdomen and wanted to know what was

making it so large. ;) Now I've already talked to a couple people about this, but I wanted a few more opinions befor I made my final move.

Anyways he cut upen the dead mantis's abdomen and pulled

out eggs. After that he wanted to throw them away. I pleaded with him

not to and so he didn't, on the condition that I would go onto the

internet and figure out what to do with them. Now I don't want them to die,

so I was wondering if there was anything that I could do. If it helps

any... I live in North Carolina and I'll try to attach a photo of the

dead mother and eggs :

TheDakFoxOfDoom,

The links to the pictures don't work...at least not for me.

But it doesn't matter, even assuming the eggs have been fertilized, they are not viable outside of the ootheca like that.

Sorry.

Scott

Wow. Throw the eggs out. They are already dead.

If the eggs were to hatch, they wouldn't hatch right. They have to come out of an ootheca a certain way and only the mother mantis makes that possible. Sorry.
