Lately I've had a rash of my chinese sub-adults dying.Usually after a molt. They will molt completly but then lie on the bottum of the container totaly spent

Recently our thermostat went hywire and the temp was over 80F where i keep my mantids,I mist them about 3 times per day lost 10 sub-adults the last week help.

You can try keeping some live plants in with them to keep the humidity up and give them some place to go cool off if they get to warm. Pothos works well because it is hard to kill and is really a tangled mess that mantids love to hide in. As for the exhaustion are you feeding them enough/too much and are you getting them a variety of foods or dusting/gut-loading the prey so they get the proper nutrients??

I've been using old t-shirts as covering so i wondetred about ventilation.I guess i should be using cheescloth as i don't really know where to find itThe male that molted last night his legs look longer .today I went to screen coverings My landlady is picking me up a humiditfier as without constant misting the humidity is below 20percent.My gambiems and ghost nymps are doing OK.
