Help with ooth

Hi everyone, on Monday my mantis which I thought was a male layer an ootheca but there is no male in the enclosure, I got her when she was about L3 so I have just left the ootheca in the enclosure because I don't know what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated.

female mantids most of the time lay infertile ooths. They are infertile because of no males. that happened to me a lot.

Ok thank you, should I just take it out and put it in the bin?

Take it out and you can keep it for looks or whatever.. And yes females will lay without a male.

you can pin it if you want. I usually give my duds away because I don't want them.
