How is everyone doing? I'm excited to join your community and really get into the mantid world. I had two caught from wild green African mantis when I was a kid. But this was pre internet so did not know how to care for them but was lucky as they both lasted almost a year each. These creatures have always came into my life during big events and I now want to fully embrace them. I have placed an order with moonlight mantids for a couple African twig and a couple jeweled to start with. I have been reading and watching videos and looking forward to learning from all of you and progressing in this hobbit. I really want to work up to orchid and devil flower(just like many) but don't dare to get advanced breeds until I am ready. I don't want to add to making these species harder to find if I don't know how to breed and properly take care of them.

Welcome to the forum! We are excited to have you here. Wild caught African mantis... that's awesome! Where are you from? Post some pics once you get your mantis! To be honest orchids are not hard to come by and are not that difficult to raise. But devils flower are a different story lol. Have fun with your mantis adventures!
