I'm late on this but wanted to introduce myself. I'm a college student at Roger Williams University. I've had Mantids before, a chinese mantis ooth.
Recently I got back into it and bought three chinese ooths, one for my room and gave each of the others to friends. I also bought some Creo. Urbanus from Yen and he included an Idolo.
So far I've had success, although I lost almost all of the chinese, they didn't do well. But currently I have two Chinese mantis, one L3 and one recently shed to L4. I have 5 of the Creos, they're currently a mix of L3 and L4. And the Idolo is either at L4 or L5, not sure but he shed success fully this past weekend.
I've found that mantids make amazing college pets, easy to take care, interesting and fast developing, and always an attraction for friends. Although we're only supposed to be allowed fish here at school, haha.
