I'm Michael but my friends call me Mikey, though I spell it mykey(cuz I'm kewl). I became interested in mantids a few months ago, but ever since then I feel like I've become obsessed with them! When I first heard of mantids I looked everywhere around my house but to no avail. Then I ordered my first mantis, chubbs the Rhombodera stalli, then came nibbler and ruby the two heterochaeta sp.( I forgot how to spell the specie name ). I hope to one day rear ethier a violin mantis or an idolomantis diabolica.

I'm so disappointed that I can't find any mantids where I live :(

Greetings, Floridian! :D

I've only seen a few mantises in the last bunch of years, 1 grizzled and a few grass mantises.

Welcome!

I share your disappointment in not finding local mantids; hopefully that'll change for both of us someday (I'm in the Seattle area.) Until then, we're lucky to have the option of buy/share/trade with this awesome community!
