Hi, Im very new to all this. It started when I let the kids have some indian stick insects, they soon got bored of those after seeing through a couple of life cycles. Then I got them a pair of leaf insects which were way more interesting and fun to watch.... up to a point! I decided a praying mantis would be much more entertaining for them. Turns out I was right 
We only have 1 at the moment, we call her Cookie Monster. She's a chinese, or so I'm told. I am totally smitten!!! Who'd know that a grown woman could become so attatched to an insect, I'd even go so far as to say I think she actually likes me too My eldest daughter asked in jest if I loved Cookie Monster more than her, I replied NO! I love you both equally
