Hi there. Sorry I skipped this topic for my first post. . .
Heh. Autocorrect just corrected me. . . at least, I'm going to blame autocorrect. I can't imagine I wrote "pose" instead of "post" on accident.
I've been fascinated with mantises for three years, since I read in an old book that they make fairly good pets. I've managed to find about 6 adults every year since. I didn't do a whole lot of research before picking up on the hobby, so memories from my first year are like stained for me. Well, I knew enough to keep my mantises alive to. . . mid October, I think? It's just that there are some things I didn't know, like that it's a bad idea to pick mantises up by the thorax, that leaves me wondering what those mantises thought of me.
I've learned a lot since then, and I'm really looking forward to when the mantis eggs on the sapling in our backyard hatch. This should be my best year running, since I've got three years of steady improvement behind me and I actually did my homework this year.
Thanks for letting me in here.
