Hi, everyone this afternoon I came back from school and found that my Hierodula Bipapilla ootheca hatched although it was only a scout hatch it still was very exciting. The main hatch could occur tomorrow or the day after. :)

Congrats on the hatch, it's always a nice surprise ;)

I have to ask where did you hear the term "scout hatch"? I tried looking it up and didn't find it anywhere. Sounds interesting as I have had several from the same ooths - sometimes before or even after the main hatch.

Good luck, I hope you dont experience the same oddity as me. I have 5 (Hierodula Bipapilla) ootheca and my first and third each had 1 lone nymph hatch and then nothing..... and yes I'm with everyone else....might you be selling any? :)

Agreed, best of luck on the ooth.

I've had a ooth #10 that hatched a single nymph for three days, every day, after the main hatch. Now I have one that hatched two nymphs, then one the next day, and then two days after two more nymphs - I wonder if there will be a main hatch on this ooth #1. Only my first ooth #11 that hatched did one big hatch and that was it.
