ok, so i noticed hierodula multispina and sphodromantis lineola look almost identical

so i decided to do comparisons to help out in identifying

meet an L3 sphodromantis lineola

notice the BROWNISH band going ALL the way down the body

notice the unreticulated legs and the small, clear spines on the claws

here's another view of that

now here is an L4 female hierodula multispina

note the bulkier shape, the less smooth contours, the thin, REDDISH band that STOPS at the wingbuds, and the reticulated legs

also note the thicker, darker teeth on the claws (especially the terminal ones) and the red dashes in the side of the abdomen (appears better around L6)

u r almost correct

the first 2 r multispina, they r the same L4 male

but the last one is neither

notice how i asked for the first 3 "which species is it?"

the last one i asked "what species is it?"

the last one is just to see if peeps recognized i was adding a trick question in there

u can still guess what it is though :D

Oh, okey I will think about it. It looks like a Hierodula. It looks kind of like one L3 Pnigomantis medioconstricta I had.
