Holding abdomen funny

Hello all, almost a week ago my make popa became adult, his wings folder fine and nothing is wrong with them, but he holds his abdomen off to the side of the wings and curls it up like a nymph

Any reason he is doing this? Is he sick??

If there are any females close to him it may be his "I want to mate pose" that most males like to do? But usually it doesn't stay that way...

I don't think he's ready for action yet, he's only been adult for a week, the female for just 6 days

I've found that some mantis are ready to mate earlier than some people think if the conditions are right.

Popa guys are really fast ready to "work"

If u keep them pretty warm and well feedet u can mate them with 6 days... females about 2 weeks

All I can think for some reason is Curly Fry would have been a cute name for such a mantis.
