holds the flies or nah?

I bought mesh rolls from walmart and it doesnt seem to hold the melangasters in. Any ideas on other materials?

I get a mesh online that works great. I get it from mantisplace.

Any local craft or fabric store should have fine mesh.

could also... If using small containers like mason jars, use a square of toilet paper. Just separate the two thin pieces and use one. Worked for holding my fruit flies while feeding my budwing nymphs
