Each cup has 12-14 catepillars.

Each cup has artificial food to grow them through adult hood (moth stage).

Simply place the cup upside down, and make sure to keep 1/2 inch space between the lid and the table you have it placed on because the cloth vented lid needs air going thru so the catepillars can breathe... duh! lol :p Had to mention it because I still get questions about that!

Take lid off once a day and let their frass drop out into the trash can.

These are by far the easiest catepillars to raise.

Keep the catepillars in day light 12-14 hours a day so when they pupate, they'll emerge into moths in just 3 weeks!

Keep them at room temperature (68-72 degrees) and they'll be pupating in 3- 3.5 weeks time. Keep them at 80-85 degrees and they'll be pupating in 2 weeks time!

Once you find them at the bottom, you can clearly see a line down their back. It is pulsating, and this means they're getting ready to morph into a cocoon!

Get a shallow plastic tray, and place some damp peat moss in it. Place the worms on top of it, they'll do the rest for you.

In 3 weeks time, there will be moths emerging! Make sure to place some cardboard, or paper towel rolls. Cardboard is a great texture for them to climb up on.

NOTE: Once Manduca sexta hawk moths emerge, they NEED to climb and pump fluids into their wings. This is crucial for them. Do not disturb them once they hatch.

The moths (manduca sextra, hawk moths AKA hummingbird moths) Get huge! And literally hover, very cool pet, or can be used as a big sized meal!

They only live 5-7 days so these are better feeders for mantids or other insectivore pets! :D
