This question has been bothering me quite a bit everytime I hot-glue my oothecae but I've never thought about asking it on here.
Is it possible for you to accidently cook the eggs inside the ootheca that are closest to the hot glue when placing your ooth on it to secure it to a container or its lid? I know there is a possibility of cooking the eggs if you place the ooth on a giant glob of glue. I'm talking about when you place a thin layer of glue on the surface of the lid and press the ootheca down on it. Is the thin layer and heat still too extreme for the eggs on the bottom closest to the heat? Or does the foam mostly protect them from this excess heat?
