Just a couple quick questions: how old should Carolina nymphs be before I introduce house flies? And is there something other than hydei that I can feed between melanogasters and HF?

feed them the hydei and then the house flies, other than tiny crickets I don't know, that's how most of us feed them.

If they seem intimidated by the houseflies just offer more hydei at mealtime. My H. membranacea nymph preferred eating hydei like popcorn for a few days after her molt before she was willing to take on houseflies.

Mine are currently L2, about halfway to L3.
The smallest crickets I have access to are about the same size as HF, but there are some stable flies buzzing around in my backyard that are somewhere in between hydei and HF. If I can catch some, would that work until they can handle houseflies?
