How big would a L2/L3 ghost mantis be? (Yes i'm considering the ghost on insectstore)

Fruitflies is sizewize the only thing you can feed to this size ghost mantids, as they're not big enough for houseflies yet..

And silverfish are way too small for them also.

Unless you're going to go outside to catch small bugs for 'em, d. hydei is the way to go.

sure there NOTHING? like chopped up mealworm or something?
No, because mantids generally don't eat anything that stays still and you're going to have a real hard time handfeeding ghosts because they aren't that receptive to it unless you force feed them. But at this instar they're too small to handle to forcefeed and you may accidently crush the mantis...

i just bought a pair of ghost mantis..there L3..would u like me to take u some pics?iv got mine in 1pint plastic cup and im feeding them on wingless frute flys and frute flys..greedy little buggers they are.i just pour 4 or 5 in the cup then hour or so later there gone..there tiny!

even if i place it infront of him/his face in tweezers?
i dont understand what your problem is?order these and stop worrying! u could chop a house fly in 1/4 and but it in front of it and blow the fly..but thats going to be bull ache..just get some Flightless Fruitfly Culture..but remember its going to take few days to get established..this is the toruble i had when i 1st started geting them..i wasnt thinking ahead..now i have 3 cultures on the go all diofrenct timing and 20 house flys in a 1L bottle feeding on honey and bread... order these..get the flightless house flys as well named culy wings. http://www.livefoodsforgood.co.uk/lfg/inde...86a2609cd9a59cb

They are tiny things, i would only feed them pin head crix or fruit flies

Although this little bugger tackled another nymphs, These 2 are 2ND INSTAR on my finger so you can guess the size

They won't accept handfeeding. You have to forece feed them. If you place it in front of their face, they will swerve and avoid it. Trust me, I've had my share of handfeeding ghosts.

Like Kruszakus said, you shouldn't get them if you can't provide them with fruit flies, because they are perfect for ghosts at this stage!

They can tackle small moths as well - after all, they are specialized in catching flying insects.
