How long until the ooths come?

I mated my Chinese last week with success and she continues to grow more and more plump even though I cut down her feedings a little (mostly because Im scared she will pop she has been HUGE ever since she ate a WHOLE cicada a couple weeks back) so how long on average does it take for them to start laying???

No way to predict when. Keep feeding her well. Better she eats the bigger the ooths tend to be.

well its not known when to tell when a mantis will lay a ooth at all as I almost gave up on my creobroter nebulosa females that I bred and got 3 ooths so far but also I think what you give the mantis to lay the ooth on is a factor as well because I use sticks I straighten and have all in horizontal position and they tend to lay ooths on the sticks but are fussy on what sticks to use and where and that goes for my gambian flower females as well!

Well i had a limbata that i fed alot and she had messed up eggs and alot complications so its very possible she can over eat becareful dont fee her to much but make sure theres food avaliable all the time or u can always hand feed her.From my knowledge its different with all species some have ooths quick and some take forrever like the limbata drove me crazy wiating like a month or somthing waitin for her to lay.Good luck though best wishes she has good fertile eggs..
