i need help! i wanna send an oxyopsis ooth to someone and so i found at the store these parcel envelopes, they are manilla and have bubble wrap inside, the ooth is in a portion cup, and i asked the courtesy desk and looked it up but couldnt find any answers

all i want to do is send an ooth in an envelope through a mailbox (post office isnt a practical option) so i can get the ooth out

can someone help me???

thanx :)

that is exactly what i sent 2 oxy ooths in. cost me 5 and some change with confirmation

...i stole nicos great idea used a cap wrapped the ooth with paper towel put on inside of cap and place a peice of cardboard on the bottom, then tape around it...keeps it very slim to fir in envolope.

Alex: All you need to do to send an ooth is to place it in a piece of the rigid foam that cheap ice chests are made of. You bore a hole in one end of the 1/2" x 2-1/2" block of foam and seal the other end if you want with a piece of cotton. This, of course must mean that the ooth is not about to hatch. Then place this in the envelope that you have previously purchased I yo only need the smallest one they sell). The postage on this should be about $3. It goes 1st Class or is it is thin enough it can go Parcel Post. There is no need to spend $5 on postage for an ooth. I have even sent them wrapped the same way, in an unpadded letter envelope. But these are thin and they might tear.

rich, the foam thing would work for a thin ooth like creo, but oxy ooths are fat, this ooth is almost half an inch wide so the block of foam might be a little to big to fit in an envelope like that

i just wanna be able to buy a stamp (like the forever stamps u can get at ANY grocery store), put it on the envelope, then toss it in the mailbox and send it on its way (it's REAL warm here now so it's perfect weather for this)

uhhhh im at work....i dont have any pics....but i leave work in an hour...when i get home i get get something together for you so you can get a better idea. If you still need the help then ill be glad to upload some stuff for you

USPS.com you can purchase and print postage.

Well I put the ooth between 2 water bottle caps and with a bit of tape they r secure and it fits in a letter envelope

And no need for heat pack, temps here r above 60, and now I just gotta get a forever stamp

It will cost more than a forever stamp, as it has some thickness to the envelope. Depending on weight, cheapest postage on a "package" envelope 1oz or less is $.90. I'd post from the post office to be sure.

Whoops! It's already in the mailbox

It's in a tiny envelope and I've done it before and they got it...

If it is over 1/4 inch thick, it's considered a package. You may get it back or it may be delivered with "amount due" owed by recipient for pick up. I know the post office is cracking down on the mail and letting things slide.

great! now I gotta go clean out my piggy bank for money! you know they will stay at my door until I come up with it... :eek:nline2long:
If u want me to pay the other watever cents I will lol

Anyways I didn't put a return address on that odontomantis ooth I sent u like 2 yrs ago (bought it from u but it didn't hatch) and u got it

Don't see why now is any different :)

I know it. They have a bunch of new security rules thanks to Homeland Security.

For example, you cant stick anything in a post box weighing over 13oz anymore!!

Also, if no return address, it's considered suspect and they may distroy it!!!
